ROB MARTEL
Principal / Architect, AIA, LEED AP
Rob is a principal and founder of Berard Martel Architecture., Inc. He brings over 25 years
of experience in the industry. This experience covers many aspects in architecture including
design, land planning, and construction management. His experience coupled with his studies at
RISD and UNH have prepared him to understand and support the goals of present clients.
As one of the firm's co-directors Rob has developed effective styles of team building, communication
and project management. He shares and encourages amongst the staff a commitment to high standards of
professionalism. He has also guided the firm to a new model of addressing environmental issues by recently
earning his LEED AP certification.

LEE BERARD
Principal / Project Manager
It was his early training in the fine arts that led Lee Berard to consider entering the architectural field.
His skill as an illustrator easily translated to architectural rendering while his business management
strengths played an important role in the eventual development of the firm in 1992. By working for project
developers at the inception of his career he has cultivated an understanding of methods and practices that
lead to successful implementation of master planning and building design schemes.
Many years of exposure to the building trades has also prepared him to lead construction firm liaison
efforts today. As one who directs the firm’s marketing efforts, these relationships have proven invaluable.
Mr. Berard is one who will always find a way to assemble a team with a common goal in mind, build consensus
and follow through to effective completion, even when obstacles emerge. The effective management practices
used by the firm have been introduced through his innate understanding of skills assessment and appropriate
use of staff talent. His enthusiastic steadfastness has resulted in longevity of employment of key
personnel in the office that is indeed unusual in today’s market.
NICOLAI CALABRO
Architect / Project Manager, AIA
Nic brings over 25 years of experience in the architectural industry to his role as architect and project manager at
Berard Martel. He is responsible for many projects from conception to completion. He is knowledgeable in a wide
variety of building types, construction methods and delivery methods. Nic's ultimate goal on a project is customer
satisfaction. He achieves this by providing innovative designs with variety of options for clients as well as
outstanding service.
Nic also plays a lead role in mentoring other associates in the firm. He enjoys aiding in the career development,
training and guidance of others in the architectural industry.

CRAIG LACROIX
Project Manager
Craig has been at Berard Martel as a project manager for over 14 years and brings over 25 years experience in the industry to his work. Craig has played a major role in the design of many of hospitality projects done by the firm including restaurants, bars, movie theaters and hotel projects. He has also worked on many office type projects as well.
MICHAEL ANDERSON
Job Captain
Mike has been in the architectural field for over a dozen years. During this time Mike has participated on many
large retail and commercial projects. He is an expert computer drafter and plays a major role in completing the
construction documents for many of the projects here at Berard Martel.
Mike is well versed in doing fit-up type work and has completed many of these projects at the firm ranging in size
from 2,000 SF to 100,000 SF in locations such as 1000 & 1230 Elm Street and the Jefferson Mills. He also provides
support for projects during construction administration seeing the details of the projects are carried out correctly.

KRYSTYNA MORZE
Krystyna has been with Berard Martel for over 6 years and brings over 25 years of technical drafting
experience to her work here at the firm. She plays a major role in completing almost every set of construction documents
that is produced here at Berard Martel.
Krystyna has also been invaluable in producing many of the 3D renderings that are created for our clients. These renderings
not only help our clients envision their completed projects, but they can be used to aid in the process of making crucial
design decisions.
ELAINE BELLO
Interior Designer
While in the interiors department of an architectural firm in the early 80's, Elaine gained experience integrating ID
services with architectural project work. As a participant on multidisciplinary teams she dealt with such tasks as the
selection of finishes for Harrah's Casino, furniture selection for Hanscom Airforce Base and lighting design for Dr.
Land's (of Polaroid ) research facility.
In 1984, as a firm owner, she provided full ID services to MIT and Harvard University's libraries, and seven other
schools. She also provided management consulting to architectural firms wishing to develop ID departments within their
offices. She wrote proposals, established work plans and delivery methods for integrated services, interviewed and
hired staff to implement these projects.
As a founder of the ID Degree Programs at the BAC, Elaine has served on the faculty since 1979 after directing the program
for seven years. She now also serves on the Executive Advisory Board.
Now, as director of Berard Martel's interior design department since May of 2007, responsibilities include project
design & staff management, development of internal resources, coordination with in-house architects and client liaison
services.
HELEN PRINCIPIO
Interior Designer
After more than 15 years in the software technology industry, Helen decided to satisfy her creative urges by
returning to school for a degree in Interior Design. The combination of experience and skills obtained working
in these two industries gives her a unique perspective and qualifications as an interior designer.
Helen has had the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience during her time in the field. She has
worked on a diverse set of commercial projects such as offices, senior centers, educational and hospitality facilities
and residential projects as well. She is involved in all aspects of projects from design to completion.

MELISSA REED
Office Administrator
As office administrator, Melissa is in charge of helping run the day to day functions of the firm including billing, initial communication with new clients and marketing. Melissa is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English.
VALERIE CAMERON
Business Manager
Valerie has been Berard Martel's business manager since the company's inception. In this role, Val is responsible for helping guide the financial security of the firm as well as administering the benefits programs.
