Summercrest is an independent and assisted living residence facility that came to Berard Martel to design its new 12,000 SF memory care addition. The facility had special requirements to accommodate patients suffering from memory deficiencies. The addition features fourteen single living quarters as well as two shared rooms. It also has activity, dining and staff areas. Attention was given not only to the needs of the clientele, but also to the integration with the existing facility. The connecting bridge allows for a seamless transition to the addition which was an important requirement of the facility owners. The new memory care wing celebrated its grand opening in May 2008.
